Michael Berman

Michael Berman has completed interiors from New York to Los Angeles for clients across the business and entertainment worlds. His rooms and products reflect a long interest in history, art, architecture and nature, and balance timeless style with what feels current.

His furniture takes its comfort and lines from American Modernism. The forms are simple and the proportions careful, and the pieces have a warmth that keeps them approachable.

Born and raised in Detroit, Berman lived in New York before settling in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. His early work with the principals of Donghia, Inc. grounded him in the design industry and led him to found Michael Berman Limited, a Los Angeles firm working across interiors, furniture and product design.

Beyond the furniture collection, his licensed work has included an American Modern plumbing line for Rohl, rugs and textiles with Kravet, the Studio Moderne stone and tile collection for Walker Zanger, and two outdoor collections for Brown Jordan. He has appeared on Bravo's Top Design, HGTV's Design School and Selling L.A.

The Michael Berman Collection is made to order in Los Angeles. Every piece can be built as shown in one of the standard finishes, or adjusted in size, finish and fabric for the project.
